Registration & Tryouts

    Our club will begin registration and tryouts on November 11 & 18, 2012 from 1p.m. to 6p.m. at the YMCA 210 High Street NW Warren, OH. Tryouts are for teaching skills as well as evaluating you performance. The cost will be $10.00. This fee is required before you will be able to enter the gym. Additional players are welcome to register at anytime during the season provided there are openings on the teams. During registration our coaches will be evaluating ATTITUDE, knowledge, SKILLS, DISCIPLINE and POTENTIAL.

VERY IMPORTANT: This year the Ohio Valley Region (OVR) requests that each player needs to be registered BEFORE they are able to participate in tryouts or practices. Each player must complete a registration with the OVR by following the instructions on this link. The OVR registration is in addition to the registration with the East Ohio Volleyball Club on our website. We will try to provide computers the day of tryouts for you to register, but it is recommended that you complete this before you come to tryouts. Remember, you must do this process BEFORE you can participate in any tryouts no matter which club you choose. There is a fee involved that is not included in our tryout fee.

        The number of teams that we will have is dependent upon the number of coaches and the different age groups of players. The OHSAA rules will only allow (3) players from the same High School or Junior High School to play on the same Club team 7th-12th grade. This does not apply to 6th grade players or schools who are not registered with OHSAA.

     Practices will be held on Sundays at the YMCA Warren, Ohio. Additional practice days during the week are a possibility. Attending practice regularly is the only way you will improve. Coaches will also decide who plays in tournaments by whom attends practices.

Tryouts

November 11

6th - 8th = 1:00 - 3:00

9th - 12th = 3:00 - 5:00

Any Grade = 5:00 - 6:00

November 18

6th - 8th = 1:00 - 3:00

9th - 12th = 3:00 - 5:00

Any Grade = 5:00 - 6:00

Anyone who could not make the appointed time could tryout from

5:00 - 6:00 each day.
